FAQS
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
What materials do you use?
I try to use the highest quality materials available. My wire inventory consists of bare copper, antiqued copper, gold-plated, gold vermeil, bronze, bare brass, antiqued brass, gun-metal, and silver-plated wire. Many of my wires have a protective tarnish-resistant coating. I also use sterling silver and solid gold wire on occasion and for custom orders if requested.
The wire I use is a professional-grade wire made for jewelry. If you prefer a specific wire please feel free to contact me.
I try to use the most natural gemstones possible; many are raw stones. Occasionally I will use a stone that is dyed but will make a note of it in my listing.
Do you make jewelry for people with allergies?
Yes, I have had several custom orders for customers with metal and other allergies. Designing closures and choosing wire types that are safe for customers are possible.
All of my earrings have ear wires that can be swapped out for niobium wire for allergy-prone customers, please ask!
Is all your jewelry handmade?
Yes, I make all of my jewelry by my own hands. Some items will have upcycled vintage materials which will be stated in the listing. I do not contact others to do any of the work for me. On occasion I will use tutorials from other designers to learn new techniques, you will usually see a note crediting the designer at their request at the end of the listing.
How do I care for my Jewelry?
Sterling Silver and even Silver-plated jewelry can tarnish, as other metals. Keeping your new jewelry in a small plastic pouch with a non-tarnish square for silver will help keep away the tarnish. Keep all jewelry away from moisture, this includes bathroom storage, showering or bathing while wearing your jewelry, and pools and hot tubs. Even frequent hand washing or washing dishes by hand can cause tarnish.
I don’t recommend using commercial cleaners, many of these can ruin stones. Using a polishing cloth is your best choice or a soft brush to remove the tarnish. Please make sure to read which metals the cloth can be used on before use. If you are unsure, please contact me. Using a mild dishwashing liquid can be used to gently clean your stones, but please rinse carefully.
Please, please, please keep your jewelry safely away from children and pets! Chains, stones, and wire make dangerous toys!
How do I figure out my sizes?
If you are unsure of your sizes when it comes to rings or bracelets, please contact me so together we can work out the perfect size for you.
If you want to know your perfect length for a necklace, please take a string or piece of yarn and place it around your neck end to end to find your desired length. Then place it against a ruler or yardstick and get your measurement.
Can you repair jewelry?
In most cases, yes! If you have a piece of jewelry that has been damaged or broken, whether it was one of my designs or another I will be happy to repair it for you. Please contact me and give me a description of the damage, along with pics. Shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
Do you offer discounts or sales?
Most definitely! Subscribe to my email updates so you can see new products, coupon offers, and holiday sales. You can find my signup at the bottom of the pages.
When will I receive my item?
Most of my items are in stock and ready to ship within 1 – 3 days. I know how important it can be to get your items as quickly as possible. U.S. shipping should arrive within a week but do allow for more time during holidays. Priority shipping is also an option. Canada customers usually receive their packages within 2 -3 weeks.
Custom Orders: Custom orders usually will be shipped within two weeks depending upon the availability of supplies.
Can I return my item if I’m not happy?
Yes, of course. It is extremely important to me that you are 100% satisfied. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you may ask for a refund or exchange.
All I ask is that it is returned in the same condition that you received it, in its original box. Please contact me for the return address with instructions. Shipping costs will not be refunded and return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
